Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components in accordance with technical drawings and production specifications. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality output, adherence to safety standards, and efficient manufacturing processes. Duties Operate a variety of CNC machines including milling machines, lathes, and machining centers to produce parts with tight tolerances. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication. Program CNC machines utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance. Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to verify dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment. Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production outputs, and quality control data. Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs of CNC machinery to ensure consistent operation. Support warehouse operations by handling materials safely with forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and packaging processes to meet production goals. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment within a manufacturing or factory environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc preferred), CAM programming software, and blueprint reading. Familiarity with mechanical blueprint interpretation and fabrication techniques. Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure compliance at all times. Basic shop math skills necessary for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances. Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues on industrial equipment efficiently. Knowledge of materials handling procedures and warehouse operations is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while maintaining high-quality standards in machining processes.
