The Benefits This is a 2nd shift position, which operates on a 4/10 work week and runs every Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. Additional overtime and Fridays may be required . Straightening Press Operator Duties Your role would be working on our Straightening team and responsible for operating the straightening presses in order to eliminate distortions and warpage from product during the manufacturing process. Sets-up and operates manual hydraulic straightening presses, machining center grinders, and machining center lapping machines. Reviews traveler paperwork and views sketch sheets and blueprints in product data management (PDM) software for procedural instructions, tolerance ranges and other specifications. Measures and inspects parts prior to straightening process to identify part distortions, warpage and discrepant tolerances. Performs in-process and final inspections using fixtures, indicators, gauges and other measuring devices. Notifies lead of defective or damaged parts and other quality issues. Produces accurate reports to document any non-conforming parts. Completes traveler paperwork, specifying parts in, parts out and scrapped parts, when required. Performs other duties as assigned.
