Today Ducommun is a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our Performance Center in Carson, CA is the Engineered Products Group site for our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, and Radio Frequency (RF) product lines. Job Summary Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, milling, etc. Reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and other specifications. Prep parts and load raw materials onto machinery. Perform test run to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications. Monitor the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect finished product using precision measuring tools such as micrometer, calipers, and gages. Communicate with Quality and Engineering department regarding non-conforming parts. Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Document the quality and quantity of the produced parts. Operation of Haas machinery, with 3+2 axis control Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC operator and experience with precision measuring tools is required Ability to read and interpret blueprints mechanical/engineering documents and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills Must be able to setup and operate using Haas controller with tool and material probe Required Experience and Education H.S. Diploma or GED 1-3 years of CNC operation experience and/or hands on training
