CNC Lathe Operator South Bay Solutions - 3.3 Fremont, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $26 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Referral program Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation Basic math High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Computer skills Full Job Description Job Description The occupation requires monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machines to cut metal and plastic parts for the manufacturing industry. This includes monitoring tool life, adjusting tool offsets, periodic inspection of part & documentation of results while maintaining safety standards. Required Skills Basic math and computing knowledge Ability to meet production requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other basic measuring equipment Responsibilities Loading / un-loading of CNC machine. Inspect produced parts & adjust offsets to meet print requirements Document inspection results while running job. Strive to meet or exceed set cycle times. Run multiple machines whenever possible. Accurately log in & out of jobs, including correct quantities. Support basic machine maintenance requirements. Report problems/concerns immediately to supervisor/management. Communicate effectively within the team & pass down information to different shifts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for their area.
Education / Experience
High School diploma or GED required. Experience working in a machine shop environment.
