Job Description

Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled CNC WaterJet Machine Operator to join their client's team in Oceanside, CA. This full-time, non-exempt position requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support production by operating and maintaining waterjet cutting machines, alongside general shop and material-handling tasks. Responsibilities Operate and maintain waterjet cutting machines to produce high-quality, precision parts and components. Perform cutting, shaping, and profiling of various materials per job requirements. Review work orders, blueprints, and CAD files to determine appropriate cutting specifications. Program and adjust waterjet cutting paths and parameters using CNC controls and software. Set up and load materials using a forklift or 20-ton bridge crane, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping. Monitor cutting operations and adjust speed, pressure, and abrasive flow as needed. Inspect cutting heads, nozzles, and abrasive delivery systems; perform routine maintenance and minor repairs. Keep inventory of spare parts to reduce downtime when repairs are required. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues; escalate complex issues to the supervisor. Assist with general labor tasks including material handling, shop organization, and housekeeping. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety procedures. Support production schedules and meet assigned deadlines. Work closely with Engineers and the Production Manager to ensure job accuracy and provide input on process improvements. Physical Requirements & Qualifications Ability to lift 55 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift. Forklift experience required (certification a plus). High school diploma or GED required. Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, 1st Shift Benefits The position offers competitive pay with a range of $23 to $27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional Details This position is 100% onsite at the Oceanside, CA facility.
