In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to ensure high-quality production. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, accuracy, and safety across our machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately set up CNC machinery.. Prepare and install tooling, fixtures, and workpieces on CNC milling machines and lathes, ensuring precise alignment with specifications. Operate CNC equipment such as Fanuc-controlled milling machines and CNC lathes, maintaining optimal machine performance. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding tools, hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workstations and reducing waste through efficient tooling management and process improvements. Assist in assembly operations when required, ensuring parts meet quality standards before final packaging or delivery. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes including CNC programming, setup, and operation. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T understanding for precise manufacturing. Hands-on experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar tools for design verification. Familiarity with CAM programming to develop efficient toolpaths for CNC machines. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for complex part fabrication. Ability to operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes controlled by Fanuc or similar controllers. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings accurately. Experience working with plastics injection molding equipment is a plus. Capable of using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing tools safely and effectively.
