CNC Lathe /VTL Operator

CNC VTL and Horizontal lathe Machinist position available : Seeking qualified and experienced machinists with minimum 5 years experience for day shift and night shift positions. Pay commensurate with experience. CNC VTL and Horizontal lathe

Machinist :

Produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards to ensure products meet precise specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Must be able to do set-ups, offsets, and 1st Articles Review travelers, set-up sheets, blueprints and specifications for a job. Select proper tooling for required machining operations. Monitor and control feed rate and speed. Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled. Detect problems by listening for specific sounds. Adjust cutting speed to compensate for harmonic vibrations. Monitor the accuracy of cuts. Replace dull cutting tools. Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications. Maintain a clean work area daily as required.

CNC Machinist Job Skills and Duties:

Ability to set-up and operate CNC lathes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Inspect machined parts for conformance to drawing specifications. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Document actions by completing production and quality logs. Experience working in AS9100 environment.
