CNC Machine Operator (Saws Department)
Location:
Rancho Cucamonga, CA, US Shift:
Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Role Overview This role supports the Saws Department by setting up and operating CNC machinery (Mazak or VL86). The operator will follow production schedules, ensure quality standards, and maintain safe, efficient machine operations. Key Responsibilities Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure machines are safe and ready for use Read and execute daily production schedules provided by the supervisor Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials for machining Set up and secure tools, fixtures, and materials on CNC machines Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting angles Monitor machine operation and identify malfunctions or defects Make adjustments or report issues to the supervisor when needed Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications; stop production if defects are found Collaborate with supervisors to resolve machining or production issues Maintain accurate production logs and inspection reports using a computer Follow company procedures, safety standards, and maintain a clean work area
Equipment & Tools CNC Machines:
Mazak or VL86 Computer systems for production tracking and reporting Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods during shift Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience operating CNC (automatic) machines High School Diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills for logging production data Additional Details Early morning shift with consistent weekday schedule Hands-on role requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols Ideal for candidates with entry-level CNC experience looking to grow in machining operations
