Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our production team, where you will transform raw materials into high-precision components. You will leverage your expertise in G-code, M-code, and multi-axis machining to optimize production workflows and ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities Execute complex machine setups and changeovers for 3-5 axis VMC and lathe equipment to maximize throughput. Program and edit CNC controllers using G-code and M-code to refine manufacturing processes. Perform advanced inspections using hand metrology tools like micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges to verify GD&T compliance. Conduct proactive preventative maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure long-term operational reliability. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement. Mentor junior team members on machining best practices and safe operation protocols. Maintain a high-standard, organized workstation to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a precision CNC machining environment. Demonstrated proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T standards. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using precision measuring instruments. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Preferred Skills Completion of a vocational or technical machining program. Experience with CAM software and multi-axis programming. Advanced knowledge of CNC machine repair and troubleshooting. Prior experience operating Mazak, Haas, or Kitamura systems.
