Job Description
The CNC Milling Rod Form Specialist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-quality rod-formed components. This role ensures precision machining processes are followed to meet specifications, quality standards, and production goals. The specialist plays a key role in optimizing efficiency, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve processes.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture rod-formed components according to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools to ensure quality compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with engineers and quality inspectors to refine machining processes and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain detailed production records, including machine settings and quality checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with training other operators as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC milling machines, preferably in a rod-forming or precision machining environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Factory setting with regular interaction with production and warehouse areas.Physical Demands:
Role may require constant walking, repeated twisting, standing, bending, squatting and lifting 50 lbs. or higher.Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.Pay:
