Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace Company Overview Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC milling machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. The CNC Milling Operator plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, adherence to engineering specifications, and compliance with industry and customer standards in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture complex aerospace components per engineering drawings and traveler documentation. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate machining. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and optical comparators. Monitor machining processes and adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets as required to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality. Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits as needed. Complete all required production documentation in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production leadership to resolve machining challenges. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop documentation. Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Additional Information Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred. Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls is a plus. Experience with multi-axis milling equipment is desirable. Knowledge of AS9100 standards and Lean manufacturing principles is beneficial. Work environment includes a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and shop floor activity. Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs as required. May require overtime, weekend work, or second shift coverage based on business needs.
