Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to high-quality product output in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Operate a variety of CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce parts according to technical specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents accurately to ensure precise machining processes. Program CNC machines utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and understand G-code for machine operation. Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces efficiently while ensuring proper calibration using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts for dimensional accuracy using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and ensure compliance with quality control protocols. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal machine performance. Follow safety standards rigorously, including proper handling of shop tools, materials handling procedures, and adherence to factory safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving press brake machines, stamping presses, or flexo presses when necessary. Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine maintenance logs, and inspection reports. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code), CAM programming software, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools like SolidWorks. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings with precision blueprint reading skills. Familiarity with shop math, including basic calculations for measurements and tolerances required in machining processes. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of fabrication techniques and manufacturing principles. Experience with precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges for quality assurance purposes. Knowledge of safety standards applicable in production environments and the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues effectively. Previous warehouse or factory experience is preferred; familiarity with tooling, materials handling, assembly line operations, and packaging is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical documentation accurately. Join us in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where your skills will directly impact the quality of our products! We value safety, precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement — all essential ingredients for success in this vital role.
