Immediate Hire About the Role We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented CNC Operator / Stone Machine Operator to join our fabrication team. This role is focused on prepping slabs, loading and unloading material, running the T-Rex cutting machine, monitoring quality, and maintaining the machine and surrounding work area . This is not a programming role . Programs and cut files will be provided. The primary responsibility is to operate the machine efficiently, safely, and consistently , while helping keep production moving and protecting high-value materials from damage. The right candidate will have experience working around stone slabs, countertops, quartz, granite, porcelain, Dekton, or similar materials , and will understand the importance of accuracy, safety, cleanliness, and caring for equipment in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Responsibilities Operate the T-Rex stone cutting machine using provided programs and job instructions Review work orders, cut tickets, labels, and production priorities before running jobs Prepare slabs for cutting, including staging, positioning, and verifying the correct material Load and unload slabs and cut pieces safely using proper equipment and procedures Monitor machine performance during operation and stop work when issues or safety concerns arise Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and damage before passing them to the next stage of production Perform routine machine cleaning, upkeep, blade checks, and daily maintenance tasks Help identify wear, maintenance needs, or production issues before they become larger problems Keep accurate communication with shop leadership regarding machine status, completed work, and delays Help maximize machine uptime while maintaining safety and quality standards Production / Shop Responsibilities Stage slabs, remnants, and completed pieces in an organized and efficient manner Help protect stone materials from chipping, scratching, cracking, or other damage during handling Assist with material movement and production flow throughout the shop Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine area, including floors, water management areas, tools, and work surfaces Support general fabrication and shop operations when machine workload allows Follow all company safety procedures for heavy materials, cutting equipment, PPE, and shop operations Work productively with minimal supervision while staying aligned with team priorities Take initiative during downtime by cleaning, organizing, staging materials, or addressing unfinished tasks Requirements Prior experience operating a CNC machine in a stone, countertop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment Experience working with stone slabs, quartz, granite, porcelain, or other heavy/high-value materials Ability to run a machine from existing programs and job files with close attention to detail Experience prepping, staging, loading, and unloading materials safely Ability to read work orders, measurements, labels, and production instructions accurately Strong mechanical awareness and ability to recognize machine, blade, or maintenance issues Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and protecting high-value materials Reliable attendance and punctuality Able to work on your feet and perform physical shop work throughout the day Basic computer proficiency for reviewing jobs, communicating with the team, or updating production information Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently without constant supervision Skills CNC machine operation Stone slab handling Machine setup and monitoring Routine machine maintenance Quality control and inspection Reading cut tickets and production instructions Material staging and workflow organization Shop safety and PPE compliance Attention to detail Time management and dependability Team communication Production mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience operating a T-Rex , CNC saw, bridge saw, router, or similar stone fabrication equipment Experience in a countertop, stone, cabinetry, flooring, or interior finishes environment Forklift or material-handling equipment experience Experience with preventative maintenance and daily equipment inspections Familiarity with fabrication workflow from slab prep through finished parts NetSuite or ERP experience is a plus English required; Spanish is a plus Why Join Us Join a respected company working on high-end residential and commercial projects Consistent full-time schedule Supportive, team-oriented shop environment Opportunity to grow within fabrication and operations Work with quality materials and specialized equipment Be part of a company that values reliability, craftsmanship, and professionalism Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Paid sick time Shift 8-hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Occasional overtime Experience CNC machine operation: 1 year required Stone, countertop, or slab fabrication: 1 year preferred Machine maintenance / daily upkeep: 1 year preferred Material handling in a fabrication or warehouse environment: 1 year preferred Computer use: 1 year preferred
