CNC Setup/Operator Lathe Focused

Job Duties:

Set up and operate CNC lathes for production runs (80-95% of time) Perform occasional setup and operation of CNC vertical mills Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions Make minor program edits at the machine control as needed Set tool offsets and adjust tooling for optimal performance Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet print specifications and tolerances Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Troubleshoot machining or quality issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred 2+ years of CNC machining or machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Strong experience with CNC lathes required; vertical mill experience a plus Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts to print specifications Familiarity with machine controls and making minor program edits Understanding of tool offsets, tooling setup, and machining processes Ability to work independently and manage production efficiently Ability to stand, move, and lift throughout the workday TSI is eager to welcome a dependable, skilled machinist to the team.
