1st Shift (6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30 determined by hiring manager) We are seeking a skilled and reliable candidate to Set Up and Operate Turret machines to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating turret machines to produce high-quality products. You will ensure proper machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and follow safety protocols while adhering to production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and configure turret machines according to production specifications, including tool alignments, changes and adjustments. Ensure and assist that machines are properly maintained and functioning at optimal performance levels. Load and unload materials onto turret machines as required. Monitor machine operations during production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance on turret machines to ensure they are in good working condition, including cleaning and lubricating parts. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or issues. Adhere to safety guidelines and report any hazards or safety concerns to management. Inspect finished products for quality and precision, ensuring they meet required specifications. Maintain accurate production records, including machine setup logs, production counts, and quality checks. Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production goals and deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Report and prevent equipment and process malfunctions, material discrepancies, documentation errors, assuring production flows efficiently.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred). Proven experience operating turret machines or similar CNC equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Knowledge of machine tools, tooling systems, and materials used in turret operations. Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift, carry, push or pull materials up to [40] pounds. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and perform inspections. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with exposure to mechanical equipment.
