Job Description

at Away Staffing Services, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description Our client, an automotive manufacturer located in the Skokie/Evanston area, seeks a CNC Machine Operator to work 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM). This position offers medical, dental, and retirement benefits. Note that candidates will be tested on blueprint reading and precision instrument reading during the interview - they must have this experience.
Responsibilities:
Operate Computer Numerical Controlled Machines to mill, turn and drill metal parts. Required to perform in a machine work cell as one operator on multiple machines Monitor parts and machine to ensure the machine is operating properly. Perform required machine maintenance per maintenance work instructions Check and measure dimensions of completed part to ensure the part conforms to Engineering and Quality Assurance specifications. Additional duties to be assigned by department supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience with operating a range of CNC equipment including Lathe Machines and Milling Machines preferred Formal classroom training / certification for CNC machine set-up and operate strongly preferred Must know how to read and interpret blueprints Must have excellent quality standards GD&T and Shop Mathematics Must know how to utilize precision measuring tools and instruments Must be able to record dimensional data as required. CNC programming skills G-code, M-code a plus Fanuc Controller skills a plus Experience with live tooling a plus Knowledge on how to make adjustments on the CNC machine to correct faulty programming To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
