Job Description

TROSCAN Fine Furniture Manufacturer Woodworking Specialist Department:

Troscan is a respected leader in high-end residential furniture design and manufacturing of superior quality, custom-made pieces. Utilizing state-of-the-art CNC equipment and a team of skilled craftspeople, we produce innovative and legacy furniture primarily for luxury residential clients.

POSITION SUMMARY

We have an opening for an experienced Woodworking Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CNC operations, CAM programming, stationary tools, and traditional woodworking techniques to contribute to the creation of our exceptional furniture products. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to prototype, refine designs, and optimize manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CNC & CAM

Operations

▪ Operate CNC machines to precisely cut, shape, and dimension wood components according to design specifications

▪ Program CAM software to generate tool paths and optimize CNC production workflows

▪ Troubleshoot CNC issues and perform minor calibration adjustments to maintain accuracy and minimize downtime Stationary & Hand Tool Work

▪ Set up and safely operate stationary power tools such as table saws, jointers, planers, and routers

▪ Perform intricate handwork using traditional woodworking tools including chisels, hand planes, and carving knives

▪ Select appropriate tooling and techniques for each component based on material, design, and quality requirements Assembly & Quality

▪ Assemble wood components into finished furniture pieces, ensuring proper alignment, joinery, and meticulous attention to detail

▪ Inspect completed work against design specifications and Troscan quality standards, identifying and correcting defects at each stage

▪ Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support accurate, efficient production Collaboration & Process Improvement

▪ Work closely with the design team to develop prototypes, establish efficient production systems, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges

▪ Provide valuable feedback on manufacturing processes to support continuous improvement initiatives

▪ Participate actively in team meetings to discuss design concepts, manufacturing feasibility, and opportunities for process enhancement Maintenance & Safety

▪ Maintain tools and equipment, performing routine cleaning, sharpening, and preventative maintenance

▪ Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and promote a safety-first mindset within the production environment

▪ Report equipment issues or safety hazards promptly to the Team Lead

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

▪ 3 years of experience in a furniture manufacturing or high-end woodworking environment

▪ Proficient in the operation of CNC machines and CAM programming

▪ Skilled in the use of stationary power tools and traditional hand tools

▪ Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and design specifications

▪ Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail

▪ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

▪ Committed to workplace safety and delivering exceptional quality craftsmanship

▪ Self-motivated with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team Preferred

▪ Experience in luxury or custom furniture manufacturing environments

▪ Exposure to prototype development and design-to-production workflows

▪ Familiarity with wood species, grain characteristics, and finishing techniques relevant to high-end furniture

Pay:

$25.57 - $30.80 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
