CNC Operator 1st or 2nd Shift Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 $18

Full-time Qualifications:
Ability to properly read and interpret drawings, work instructions and in-process inspection plans. Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Thread Gages, Pin Gages, Bore Gages, Dial Indicators, Height Gages). Ability to change and make offsets, including and touch off of tools on machine. Duties & expectations: Operate CNC machine in a manner that is safe, producing quality product and meeting production expectations as set forth by management. Document work on in-process inspection plans and the ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and records. Keep work area clean and organized. Change inserts, drills, mills and other tools. Help set-up person in loading of tools, vises, and fixtures. Assist with machine set up. Change offsets and touch off tools. Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to supervisor for particular machine or project. Look for continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS. Be a team player in a team-work environment. Have basic measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer, etc). Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether personal or company supplied. If not in proper calibration, notify quality department to have calibrated immediately. Handle machines, parts, and inspection equipment in a manner that will not cause damage or compromise product integrity. In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, you are expected to do any of the following, not limited to: Deburring, Assembly, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving. Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality. To be aware of procedures, quality policies, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
