This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who enjoys the independence of a 2nd shift environment. You will lead the setup and operation of CNC lathes and vertical machining centers (Okuma, Haas, Kitamura) to produce high-precision parts for diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities Independent Setup:

Perform full machine setups and changeovers on 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machines.

G-Code Editing:

Load programs and perform at-machine edits using Fanuc (16i, 18i, 200i, 31i) or Okuma controls.

Precision Control:

Maintain tight tolerances down to .0005" while monitoring both short and long-run production.

Quality Assurance:

Take ownership of quality by performing first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers and calipers.

Supportive Environment:

Assist with troubleshooting and material handling (using hoists for parts up to 60 lbs).

Required Qualifications Experience:

3-5 years of CNC lathe operation experience, set up experience would be a plus

Technical Skills:

Proficient in blueprint reading and manual inspection tool usage.

Shift Availability:

Ability to work 2nd shift consistently in a job shop environment.

Education:

High school diploma or GED; advanced machining certifications are a plus. Why Work the 2nd Shift Here?
