Position Requirements:
Able to work 3rd shift. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand part specifications. Monitor machine operation during production runs, identifying and addressing potential issues. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure part quality meets specifications. Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain consistent quality. Document production data and maintain quality control records. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when operating CNC machines. Knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code). Experience with various CNC machine types (mills, lathes, etc.) Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Familiarity with DMG Mori Lathes and Mills a plus.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
High School Diploma, Certification or Associate's Degree Frequently able to lift or move up to 35lbs. Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material. Overtime may be required, including weekends when necessary. CompX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
