Job Description

Radiac Abrasives, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of conventional bonded and superabrasive grinding wheels. For more than 100 years, Radiac has delivered industry leading technology and quality products and service to the metal finishing industry. We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our abrasives manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines used in the production of abrasive products, ensuring high-quality standards, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Production Supervisor Salary Range:
$23.00 - $26.00 depending on experience and skill level.
Shifts:
6:00am - 2:30pm Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (lathes) used in abrasives production Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and product quality Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Ensure products meet specifications and quality standards Maintain accurate production and inspection records Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred 1-3+ years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience (abrasives or similar industry a plus) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Familiarity with CNC programming Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to use precision measurement tools Basic computer skills for machine interface and reporting Ability to communicate, read and write in English. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk bend, stoop, twist for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying temperatures Must have sufficient visual acuity to safely operate machinery, read gauges and warning indicators, and identify hazards in a manufacturing environment, with or without corrective lenses.
