Job Description

Aegis is a locally owned CNC Job Shop specializing in short to medium quantity runs. We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our first shift team and assist in the production of precision metal parts. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines, possess strong technical skills and like a variety on the job. Successful person can follow instructions and consistently produce good work. Set-up experience in a job shop is a plus but not necessary. Willing to train the right person. Opportunity for advancement. Very clean and organized shop, casual work attire, no steel toe shoes required.
Requirements:
Experience in CNC Operations a plus, but not required Ability to read and interpret drawings Use and able to read basic tooling, such as calipers, micrometers and comparator Understand basic math, specifically decimals Burr removal on all parts where required Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work Engage in milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and sawing Able to lift 50#, with or without assistance Stand for 8 hours Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good attendance is a must
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce quality metal parts according to specifications Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure production runs smoothly Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards Maintain and clean machines regularly to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
