Job Description
Modern Forge is a steel forging manufacturer seeking a CNC Lathe Operator. This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC Lathe Operator and is responsible for performing work relating to CNC machines including the completion of all relevant machining and documentation of jobs. Successful lathe operator candidates will have the ability to set up and operate CNC lathe, edit and alter programs, and set up tooling. The successful lathe operator candidate must be able to use various precision measuring instruments, have strong math skills, and basic computer skills; have the ability to review part prints and assure machining accuracy. G&M Code recognition is required for the CNC lathe Operator. This lathe operator opening is a 2nd shift position. 2nd Shift begins at 2pm. Must be able to pass background screen as well as physical and drug test.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- CNC Operator Experience
- G&M Code programming preferred
- Use micrometers and various inspection equipment
- Strong math background
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Possess Strong Work Ethic
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set Up & Operate Mills with Fanac controls
- Troubleshoot CNC programs
- Assist in development of programming
- Assist in development of maintenance & manufacturing procedures
- Review part prints and assure machining accuracy
