Custom Fab Weld , powered by Drive & Shine, is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our growing fabrication team. This position is ideal for someone who can confidently operate CNC equipment while also having hands-on experience setting up and operating manual machining equipment. Fabrication Shop is located in South Bend near the airport What You'll Do Operate CNC machinery to produce precision components according to specifications and drawings Set up and adjust CNC machines for different jobs and production runs Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools Set up and operate manual milling machines Set up and operate a manual drill press Select and properly use cutting tools, tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations Required Experience Previous experience operating CNC machinery Experience with CNC setup, including tooling, offsets, workholding, and machine adjustments Demonstrated ability to set up and operate a manual mill Demonstrated ability to set up and operate a manual drill press Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers Strong understanding of machining practices, tolerances, and quality control Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and equipment issues Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications CNC mill or lathe experience Experience with CNC programming or editing programs at the machine Experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals Fabrication or welding experience Experience with CAD/CAM software Experience in a custom fabrication or job-shop environment For immediate consideration: Call or text 574.701.3384
