Job Title:

CNC Punch Press Operator Job Description Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will program, set up, and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically punches, drills, broaches, or reams metal parts. You will make adjustments to adhere to established specifications or to correct faulty programming and/or equipment performance. You will make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence. You will make adjustments to adhere to established product specifications and monitor work to ensure that the machine is not malfunctioning. Responsibilities Work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products. Inspect the quality of raw material for fabrication of components. Operate and set all machine functions. Calculate blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for the parts. Organize the work area prior to equipment start-up. Essential Skills Experience in punch press, CNC machine operation, and CNC machining. Proficiency in machine setup, machine operating, and machine operation. 3+ years in manufacturing work. Forklift experience. Experience in punch operating or CNC operating. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Prima Power Shear Genius machine preferred. Mechanically minded and willing to be cross-trained in a variety of fabrication functions. Ability to use and read measuring instruments (calipers, tape measure, etc). Ability to read and interpret part drawings. Understanding of CAD/CAM technologies. Good math skills. • 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00
• $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
