CNC Operator

Job Title:

CNC Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled CNC Operators for our day shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading parts, running programs, and ensuring the quality of products using gauges and tools. They will also perform grinding and surface finishing, change tools, and make minor offsets at the machine controls. Responsibilities Operate machinery and equipment with minimal supervision. Utilize micrometers and gauges to measure and assure conformance and product quality. Complete and maintain all records and logs. Interrupt machine cycle as needed and restart. Calibrate gauges to master gauges provided. Reset dull or damaged cutters. Communicate problems to shift supervisor. Maintain housekeeping standards. Meet quality and production requirements. Provide feedback on process, work instructions, and quality performance or concerns. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Essential Skills Minimum of two years of recent CNC operator experience, which can be Mill or Lathe CNC machine experience. Experience utilizing quality tools such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Experience in a manufacturing environment producing heavy parts, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with hand tools, mills, and lathes. Strong quality inspection skills. Why Work Here? The machines are newer, and the facility underwent a thorough cleaning in January. Work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays and Sundays. The dress code includes oil-resistant or steel-toed shoes, no cutoffs, and hats worn forward. Lunch is a half-hour unpaid, with a paid 20-minute break. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
