Job Description

Job Title:
CNC Operator Job Description We are a leading manufacturer of precision-formed powertrain components for the automotive and industrial sectors. As we expand rapidly, we are seeking CNC operators for 3rd shifts to meet production demands. Our facility houses 49 CNC machines, and each operator is expected to produce between 500 and 1,100 parts per shift. Candidates will undergo one to four weeks of training on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift with a 5% shift premium. We prioritize culture and work environment, valuing coachability, work ethic, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines with precision and efficiency. Produce between 500 and 1,100 parts per shift. Ensure quality control using calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Utilize PLEX software effectively. Perform offsets and changeovers, assisting other operators or machinists. Essential Skills At least 6 months of CNC operating experience, preferably with lathe machines. Experience in an automotive setting or high-volume production environment. Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Familiarity with PLEX software. Ability to stand for the majority of the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of CMM is a plus. Strong coachability and positive attitude. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macomb, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
