Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist to join our team. This role is responsible for independently setting up CNC mills and/or lathes for production runs, ensuring parts are produced to specification, and supporting operators to maintain efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate has strong technical machining experience, understands tooling and offsets, and thrives in a production-driven environment. Responsibilities Perform complete machine setups for CNC mills and/or lathes Install and qualify tooling, fixtures, and workholding Load programs and verify correct revisions Set tool offsets and make program adjustments as needed Run first article parts and perform inspections Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize cycle times Support operators during production runs Maintain quality and safety standards
Qualifications Required:
3-5+ years CNC machining experience Proven ability to independently perform machine setups Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.) Experience making offset adjustments and minor program edits
Preferred:

Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
