A leading local manufacturer is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join their production team. As a CNC Operator, you will operate a 3-axis CNC Router to fabricate high-quality parts. You will be responsible for loading materials, cycling the machine, detecting tool wear, running production lots, and collaborating with your team to maintain a safe, clean, and highly efficient work environment.
Shift:
2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM ...
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate a high-speed, 3-axis CNC router to run pre-determined files using correct tooling and jigs.
Controls & Tooling:
Enter tool offsets into Fanuc controls; select, monitor, and maintain sharp cutting tools.
Quality Control:
Perform part inspections, document results, and work closely with CNC programmers to eliminate defects and minimize machine downtime.
Material Handling:
Position and secure workpieces on the machine bed, indexing table, or fixtures. Drive a forklift to stage required materials near the CNC worktable.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all prescribed safety procedures and machinery safeguards.
Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certificate or degree in machining/manufacturing is preferred. Previous machine shop experience is highly preferred.
Mindset:
A positive attitude, strong focus, and excellent communication skills with peers and supervisors.
Technical Skills:
Ability to manage tool operations, material storage, inventory control, and required quality documentation.
Physical Requirements:
Comfort performing physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and other repetitive movements associated with loading/unloading material.
License:
