Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Blaine, MN. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines according to blueprints and job specifications while ensuring finished components meet established quality and dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate has previous CNC operating experience, is comfortable using precision measuring tools, and can work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications. Load raw materials into machines and oversee the machining process. Monitor CNC equipment during operation and make minor adjustments as needed. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure components meet required specifications. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and overall quality. Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions. Monitor tooling and identify signs of wear or potential production issues. Identify and report quality concerns, machine problems, or equipment issues. Complete required production and quality documentation. Handle materials and finished components safely throughout the production process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and production standards. Assist with additional manufacturing and production responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous CNC machine operating experience required. CNC milling experience preferred. Ability to set up CNC equipment according to job requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, and handle materials. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with regular exposure to CNC machinery, tooling, production equipment, and moderate noise levels. Hands-on position requiring regular interaction with machinery and manufactured components. Fast-paced production environment focused on accuracy, quality, and safety. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Must consistently follow established machine operation and workplace safety procedures.
