Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Mill Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Set up CNC milling machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce accurate parts. Operate CNC milling machines such as CNC mills and lathes, primarily utilizing Fanuc controls or similar systems. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize machining processes. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining, tooling setup, and maintenance of CNC milling machines. Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and understanding of G-code language. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiar with GD&T principles. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software for part design review and modifications. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC control systems; experience with CNC lathe operations is advantageous. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing tools safely. Understanding of plastics injection molding processes is beneficial for certain projects. Join our team if you are passionate about precision manufacturing!
