CNC/Machinist Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Haas and Mazak CNC machines (Primarily Milling CNC's, but Lathe and programming experience a plus). As a CNC/Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and materials. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences. Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation and part quality. Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions and make timely adjustments or report them to the supervisor. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and resolve any production or quality issues. Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as coolant refills and tool changes. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining is preferred. Proven experience as a CNC/Machinist, with expertise in operating Haas and Mazak CNC machines (preferred) Strong understanding of machining principles, including tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience with precision measuring instruments and the ability to inspect and verify part dimensions and tolerances. Familiarity with maintenance tasks and troubleshooting common machine issues. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make adjustments to machining processes as needed.Job Type:
