Job Description
Must be proficient in reading machinist gages, including but not limited to micrometers, vernier calipers, scales, etc. Must understand CNC codes and programs. Must be able to set up jobs. Experience on Haas lathes a plus. Experience on manual lathes and mills a plus. Candidate may have to make parts from drawings, although most of the products have a program ready to run. Should be able to stand/sit for long periods of time. Some lifting is required. This applies to raw material such as cast iron/bronze/steel bars and slugs. Candidate must have knowledge of feeds and speeds, depending on the material being machined. A background in running plastics/polymers is helpful. We are a production shop, not a job shop.
