CNC Operator - Swing Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating computer numerical (CNC) and manual machines while maintaining quality and safety standards in a Manufacturing environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Pays attention to machine detail and inspects every tenth part 2. Multitasks throughout the shift, run multiple machines 3. Completely fill out control sheets and other quality control documents 4. De-burring of parts until all sharp edges are gone 5. Reject non-conforming product 6. Maintains safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations 7. Check parts for non-conformances using precision measuring equipment 8. Communicate effectively between other operators and shift

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Make adjustments to offsets as needed to maintain quality parts 2. Check and maintain coolant levels on machines 3. Check and maintain oil levels on machines 4. Check inserts for wear and maintain good cutting edges 5. Adhere to the 5S program 6. Maintain a clean work environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND HAZARDS

1. One-two years experience in CNC machining 2. Knowledge of tooling and jaws 3. Knowledge on how to use measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers 4. Must be able to follow instructions 5. Must be able to work all shifts 6. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds 7. Must be able to work in other departments as needed Pay is $18.00 - $23.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift premium, Swing Shift, Mon-Fri, 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with OT and occasional Saturdays. Will train on Day Shift for 1-2 weeks.

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
