- . This role is ideal for someone who understands setups, tooling, offsets, blueprint reading, and precision inspection—and takes pride in producing quality parts while keeping production moving.
- Reno, NV | $26.29/hr | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM | Temp-to-Hire
- What You'll Own
- You'll be responsible for keeping production running efficiently while ensuring every component meets quality requirements.
+ Set up and operate CNC machining equipment in a production environment + Install chuck jaws, tooling, and machine components according to setup sheets + Download and verify CNC programs at the machine + Make machine offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy + Change inserts and tooling as required to support continuous production + Load, unload, and handle machined components without damaging critical surfaces + Perform drilling, deburring, and other secondary operations as needed + Complete production documentation, time records, and quality paperwork accurately + Support preventative maintenance and daily equipment care + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

- + Production goals are consistently achieved + Components meet blueprint specifications the first time + Offsets, tooling, and machine adjustments are made proactively + Inspection records and documentation are completed accurately + Machines stay running with minimal downtime + Work areas remain organized and audit-ready + Quality concerns are identified before they become production issues
- What You Bring
- + 3-4 years of CNC machining experience + Experience operating CNC lathes and/or machining centers + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection documents + Experience using precision measuring tools including: + Micrometers + Calipers + Height Gages + Thread Plug Gages + Thread Ring Gages + Ability to make offsets and minor machine adjustments + Basic shop math skills, including dimensions and tolerances + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities + Ability to work independently with limited supervision + High School Diploma or GED •Where You May Stand Out•+ CNC setup experience + Experience editing programs at the machine + High-volume production machining background + Experience training or mentoring operators + Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes + Previous experience identifying and documenting non-conforming product •Why Work with PDS Tech?
