M-F 5:30PM-2:30AM Position Summary Exact Machine Service is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines to produce high-precision components. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to interpret engineering drawings will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and other machining operations on metals and alloys Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances Install and secure workpieces using appropriate fixtures and clamping methods Select and install cutting tools; adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut as required Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and tooling changes Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to resolve machining issues Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience as a Lathe Operator or in a similar manufacturing role preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Knowledge of cutting tools, tool geometry, and machining applications Familiarity with lathe machining techniques (turning, drilling, grooving, threading, etc.) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to perform routine machine maintenance tasks Benefits Competitive hourly pay Comprehensive benefits package Generous company pension plan Strong work-life balance Career advancement opportunities Commitment to professional development Employee Assistance Program Tuition assistance program (where applicable) Free on-site parking
