Direct Hire Summary:

Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Operator to join a manufacturing team in Victor, NY. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and offsets.

Pay Rate:

$22.00•$30.00/Hour (Based On Exp.)

Shift:

Day Shift | Monday•Friday | 7:00 AM•3:30

PM Key Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machines including tooling, holders, vises, and fixtures Read blueprints, work instructions, and machine manuals to determine setup requirements Machine soft jaws and fixtures as needed Set work piece coordinates and establish tool offsets Start first piece and ensure proper setup for repeat jobs Run production parts and perform in-process adjustments Inspect parts using metrology equipment to ensure quality standards are met Complete required inspection and production documentation Perform deburring of parts before next operation Oversee CNC operators as assigned Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years CNC setup experience plus 2 years CNC operator experience Vocational or Associate's degree in CNC machining preferred Experience with MasterCam is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, and offsets Ability to input and edit G and M codes Ability to run programs in single block mode and make machine edits Strong math and problem-solving skills Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
