These positions entail direct employment with the client that offers exceptional work culture, benefits, PTO, and growth potential. We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup / Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and making program edits at the machine for vertical milling operations in a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to ensure quality and efficiency in production.

Pay :
$25/hr.•$32/hr. based on experience
Schedule :
Monday•Thursday 3:30pm•2:00am
Key Responsibilities:
Set up CNC vertical mills for production machining Prove out programs and inspect first-piece parts for accuracy Troubleshoot, edit, and optimize G-code programs at the machine Document program changes and setup processes for repeatability Monitor part quality and ensure all components meet blueprint specifications Perform in-process inspection and deburr parts as needed Plan tooling requirements to minimize downtime and improve efficiency Utilize proper feeds, speeds, and cutter compensation techniques Assist in building jigs and fixtures to improve productivity Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills independently (job shop environment preferred) Strong understanding of CNC programming, G-code structure, and tooling theory Experience editing programs at the control (Fanuc preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and identify critical dimensions Experience with GD&T is a strong plus Familiarity with Makino horizontal mills is a plus (not required) Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Ability to work on complex, tight-tolerance parts Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Dependable with the ability to adapt to changing production schedules Preferred (Not Required): Ownership of personal measuring tools (company can provide and calibrate if needed) Experience in fixture/jig building Why Join Us?
