Job Description
Education and Experience:
1-3 years' experience as CNC mill/lathe operator preferred Experience verifying dimensions of parts, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and / or fixed gauges Basic computer skills Ability to perform basic math Strong attention to detail Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Flexibility in work assignments Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required Reads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions With assistance, troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient overall production Calculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow Document new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers Deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications Follow all safety policies and procedures Setup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shop Perform other duties as assigned
