Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer / Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be willing to learn various tasks related to warehouse operations and machinery. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our production processes and ensuring that all safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:
Load raw structural materials (often using overhead cranes), check tooling, and adjust offsets for feeds and speeds.
Execution:
Run pre-written programs, monitor automated processes, and utilize "right angle heads" or rotary tables to drill side surfaces without moving the workpiece.
Quality Control:
Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to ensure tolerances are met.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and keep the workstation clear of scrap and metal shavings. Operate and maintain various types of machinery, including saws, shears, grinders, CNC machines, stamping presses, and press brake machines. Assist in the packaging and handling of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to supervisors. Drive forklifts for material handling and transportation within the warehouse. Assist in the construction of wooden crates and perform material handling duties. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow within the manufacturing facility. Safely operate machinery and follow all safety protocols. Maintain a clean work environment and always adhere to safety standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory. Experience operating machinery such as grinders, saws, forklifts, and press brake machines is a plus. Familiarity with machining processes, including CNC operation, is beneficial. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. A commitment to maintaining safety standards in all aspects of work. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
Compensation:
A meaningful compensation package will be developed that includes: $25.00 (+) $4 shift differential Paid Holidays (after 60 days)
Shift:
