Laser Machine Operator (CO₂ / CNC Manufacturing)

Job Overview We are a small manufacturing operation producing precision wood products using a professional CO₂ laser system. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to support daily production. In this role, you will operate a Kern EcoFlex CO₂ laser system to cut and process materials, monitor machine performance, and ensure consistent quality output. You will be responsible for loading materials, running production jobs, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a hands-on, in-person position in a structured production setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with machines and computers, and able to follow processes with strong attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed. Experience with laser cutting, CNC equipment, or similar machinery is preferred but not required.

What You'll Do:

Operate and run production jobs on a CO₂ laser (Kern system) Load materials, start jobs, and monitor cutting performance Perform basic file setup and adjustments (LightBurn or similar) Check parts for quality, fit, and consistency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with day-to-day production of wood products

Ideal Candidate:

Has experience with laser cutters, CNC, or similar machines (preferred, not required) Comfortable using computers and design files Detail-focused (small mistakes matter here) Reliable and shows up consistently
