What You Will Do:
The CNC Grind-Creep Feed Operator, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures related to the various parts and equipment for which they are trained and certified. Additionally, operators are tasked with loading and unloading parts to meet production demands, inspecting parts using various precision measuring tools, and making decisions to accept or reject parts. They must also effectively communicate any changes both verbally and in writing.Essential Duties:
- Operate appropriate CNC flat surface and creep feed grinding equipment, as well as other machinery as necessary, to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner, according to process documentation. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges pin, thread, indicator, height , optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines CMM
- Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes
- Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes
- Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required
- Analyze and interpret CMM reports and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications
- Perform deburring operations to within specified tolerances
- Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
- Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties

- Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper
PPE Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNC Machining certificate from a Trade School preferred, or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling
- Must meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. person
- Duty-related experience, including operation of flat surface grinders, preferred
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred
- Experience with G & M codes preferred

English Physical Demand Levels:
- Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly
- Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
- Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift
- Walking or climbing stairs as needed to perform job duties as assigned
- Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Shift:
Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pmPay:
