00 per hour DOE + $2.00 Shift Differential HireCall is currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator for a premier precision manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled machinist who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Mazak CNC lathes in a quality-driven manufacturing environment. Responsibilities CNC Machine Setup & Operation Independently set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes including QT, Nexus, Integrex, and similar models Load raw materials and configure tooling, offsets, fixtures, and workholding Verify machine setup accuracy before production begins Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure efficiency and quality Maintain production schedules while meeting quality standards Programming & Technical Interpretation Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and GD&T specifications Edit Mazatrol conversational programs and/or G-code programs at the machine Adjust tooling paths, feeds, and speeds to optimize machining performance Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions Quality Control & Inspection Perform in-process and final inspections using: Micrometers Calipers Dial Indicators Gauges Verify all finished parts meet dimensional and quality specifications Maintain compliance with company quality standards and procedures Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning Troubleshoot machine alarms, tooling issues, and production concerns Conduct basic machine diagnostics to minimize downtime Documentation & Safety Complete production reports, inspection records, and machine logs accurately Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards Maintain a clean and organized work area Required Qualifications 2-5+ years of experience operating and setting up Mazak CNC lathes Experience with Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code editing Strong setup experience including tooling, fixtures, and part setup Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications Knowledge of speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and machining practices Experience using precision measuring equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-axis and live-tooling Mazak machines Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environments Forklift experience or certification Experience with SPC tracking and ERP systems Technical school or vocational machining training Skills & Competencies Technical Skills CNC Lathe Setup & Operation Mazatrol Programming G-Code Editing Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation Precision Measurement & Inspection Tooling and Fixture Setup If you meet these requirements, call 918-933-5530 to schedule your interview with Teresa.
