Job Description

An established aerospace machine shop with long-term contracts is looking for skilled operators to run 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, clean, and team-oriented environment with steady work and room to grow.
SALARY:
$28-$30/hr.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operate and set up 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes to produce aerospace parts to blueprint specificationsMaintain tight tolerances (+/- .001) while machining aluminum and steel componentsLoad raw materials, adjust offsets, and inspect parts using calipers and micrometersPerform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issuesInterpret blueprints and select appropriate programs (no editing required)Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a collaborative team environment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of aerospace machining experience with expertise in steel and aluminum componentsSkilled in setup and operation of 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes, including offset adjustments and program selectionPrecision-focused, able to hold tight tolerances (+/- .001") and perform accurate inspections using calipers and micrometersStrong blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting skills to ensure part accuracy and resolve minor machine issuesSafety-conscious team player with solid maintenance habits and effective communication in a collaborative environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as machine setup, part loading/unloading, and tool handlingCapable of lifting materials and parts up to 50 lbs and operating manual and powered equipment safelyGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision measuring, adjusting machine settings, and handling small components
