Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Turret Punch Press Operator and become a vital contributor to precision sheet metal fabrication. In this role, you will operate and maintain turret punch presses, ensuring high-quality production of metal components. This is an exciting opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals passionate about manufacturing and machining processes to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Duties Set up, program, and operate CNC turret punch presses to produce accurate sheet metal parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing instructions to ensure precise fabrication. Perform routine inspections of tooling, tooling changes, and machine calibration to maintain optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement verification. Deburr punched parts as required Assist with material handling using forklifts or cranes to load raw materials and move finished parts safely within the workspace. Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and safety records while adhering to all safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC turret punch presses or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, laser cutting, plasma cutting, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, and CNC lathes. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications for precise fabrication. Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control. Basic math skills necessary for machine setup and measurement verification. Knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, assembly, tooling setup, and sheet metal handling. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and safety standards in a manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work efficiently under pressure.
