Job Description
NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Laser Operator for a local fabrication company that specializes in sheet metal fabrication for a variety of industries and a variety of clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment that believes in enhancing opportunities for all individuals based on merit and potential.
What we are seeking:
6+ months of CNC operation or machine operation that require math and measurement skills. Ability to read measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure the machine is producing parts within the program's tolerances Capable of reading blueprints and schematics. Experience setting up machines, including loading raw sheet metal and aluminum into the machines, selecting the correct programs to run, and setting the power and speed of the laser. A great eye for detail to watch and monitor the cutting process, stopping the machine when noticeable errors are detected. Previous experience in checking parts for quality and measurement specifications and then noting it in program logs. Ability to perform maintenance on the machine, including clearing excess metal shavings, cleaning lenses, and basic machine upkeep as instructed. Someone who can work independently after training. Can lift 50 lbs. and stand, stoop, bend, push, and pull for an 8-hour shift. Great attitude, attendance, and punctuality.
