Full Job Description Job Opportunity:
CNC Lathe Operator
II/III A
client of ours in Tigard is looking to add an experienced CNC Lathe Operator II to join their growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC lathe equipment used to manufacture precision components based on detailed engineering and blueprint specifications. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work in a fast-paced production environment with long-term career growth potential.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment to manufacture precision flat and formed components to specification. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machine codes using standard and metric measurements. Troubleshoot tooling, programming, machining, and production-related issues as they arise. Perform CNC machine setup including tooling changes, fixture setup, program loading, and tool offsets. Serve as a technical resource regarding tooling, machining capabilities, and process improvements. Collaborate with engineering and production teams regarding part modifications and corrective actions. Assist with larger production projects from start to finish while maintaining quality and efficiency standards. Perform minor preventative maintenance and maintain tooling and machine condition. Maintain labor tracking, production records, and an organized work environment. Monitor inventory levels and support overall production flow. Follow company safety standards and best manufacturing practices at all times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of manufacturing or machining experience preferred. Strong CNC lathe setup and operation experience required. Ability to read blueprints, machine codes, and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to identify cutting tools, tooling setups, and machining materials. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and safety awareness required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a production environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 2:15 pm - 10:45 pm
Pay:
Starting at $30.00 per hour DOE, +$2.00 shift differential
