Temp To Full-Time CNC Lathe I We're looking for a detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator who can set up, operate, and support precision machining in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Greater Portland, OR SALARY:
$20-$30 per hour, depending on experience
SCHEDULE
Full-Time, Temporary
- Weekend shift
- Friday-Sunday
- 5:00 AM-5:30 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.
- Load programs, tools, and fixtures, and set tool offsets for CNC machine operation.
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, machine codes, and specifications.
- Use precision measuring devices to inspect work in thousandths.
- Communicate issues related to work orders, programming errors, material shortages, or production concerns.
- Support reduction of material waste, labor inefficiencies, and scrap.
- Record labor for job tracking and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness andanization of the work area.
- Interact with engineering on part designs and provide input on corrective actions when needed.
- Document redlines, monitor line-side inventory, deburr parts, and perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience; machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings in decimal and fractional inch units.
- Ability to read and understand machine codes.
- Demonstrated ability to set up CNC machines, load programs, set tooling, use fixtures, and adjust tool offsets.
- Strong math skills, including trigonometry.
- Ability to use and read precision measuring devices in thousandths.
- Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to handle fragile products carefully.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position works in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment with some noise and plastic chips in the production area.
- The role requires the ability to stand at a workstation for the designated shift and lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
- Safety glasses are rmended on the manufacturing floor outside of designated safety corridors, and hearing protection is rmended near machinery.
- Compliance withpany safety practices and procedures is required.
