Job Summary CNC Lathe Operator (Horizontal Lathes) Hastings, PA | 1st & 2nd Shift (Alternating Weeks) | Competitive Pay (based on experience) Run the machines that keep production moving. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you'll be running horizontal lathes, holding tight tolerances, and taking pride in producing quality parts that support infrastructure across the country. If you've ever looked at a print and could picture the part in your head—how it's going to run, where it might go wrong, and how to make it right, you'll fit in well here. We're looking for experienced operators who understand the shop environment, take ownership of their work, and can be counted on to get the job done right. What You'll Be Doing Set up and operate CNC lathes to run production parts Monitor part quality using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Make offsets and minor adjustments to maintain tolerances Keep machines running efficiently while minimizing scrap and downtime Catch issues early—before they turn into bigger problems Three Pillars of the Role Machine Operation & Output Run CNC lathes efficiently to meet production goals Maintain consistent cycle times while keeping machines running safely and minimizing downtime Quality & Precision Inspect parts and hold tight tolerances using proper measuring tools Understand the part—not just the print—make approved adjustments to prevent defects and rework Ownership & Reliability Take responsibility for your machine, your parts, and your output Communicate issues, support teammates, and step in when needed to keep production moving
What You Bring:
You're dependable, detail-oriented, and understand what it takes to run a machine the right way. Experience operating CNC lathes (horizontal preferred) Ability to read blueprints and visualize part geometry and features Strong understanding of measuring tools and inspection methods Experience making offsets and machine adjustments to hold tolerance Solid work ethic, reliability, and pride in producing quality work Willingness to "fill in the white space" and support the team when needed Top-Tier Benefits Steady Work & Room to
