$59,758 Overview A skilled machinist is responsible for the setup and proper operation of manual and CNC lathes and turning centers used in the production of centrifugal pump components. This role requires a highly qualified machinist with diversified experience across multiple machining platforms. The position involves performing a variety of machining operations with tight tolerances and a wide range of parts , executing complex setups, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. The machinist must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and may be required to guide or support other machinists when necessary. This is a union position (UAW) . Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes and turning centers Perform machining operations on centrifugal pump components and mechanical parts Produce parts with tight tolerances and high precision Perform complex machine setups and adjustments Conduct preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment Operate manual and CNC mills and other industrial machining equipment Maintain quality standards and production deadlines Read and interpret precision measuring tools , including: Micrometers Calipers Other precision instruments Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operation Complete production and quality documentation Maintain equipment, tooling, and supplies Support and guide other machinists when needed Follow all safety procedures and standards Preferred Experience Experience machining industrial components or pump parts Experience working with tight tolerances and complex setups Ability to work independently with minimal supervision MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
